Mounting and setting up the flail mower
Fit hitched, as shown in the above illustration.
Tighten all bolts and screws on the flail mower, including on parts that were attached
at the factory.
Thoroughly lubricate the flail mower’s grease nipples.
Tighten the flail mower, including parts attached at the factory such as the flail rotor’s
bearing housing.
Remember to fill up the gearbox with gear oil. The gearbox holds 0.8 litre of
80W-90 gear oil.
Connecting to the tractor

Make sure that the tractor’s towbar does not get in the way. Move it or remove it if
necessary. Check whether there is enough space the first time you lift the flail mower.
2.
Position the tractor’s bottom suspension arms across from the flail mower’s brackets.
Place the bottom pins in the lowest turning joint and attach a split pin.
3.
Attach the top bar to the flail mower’s top suspension using the accompanying split pin.
Lock it in place with a locking pin.
4.
Adjust the top bar in or out to get the top hitch pin to be vertically above or slightly
behind the bottom hitch pins – to allow the flail mower to move. Operate the flail mower
with its rear end 15 degrees lower than the front end.
