Personal protective equipment
•
It is advisable to wear personal protective clothing and equipment.
•
Wear personal protective clothing and equipment that is suitable for the work. Avoid
wearing loose-fitting clothing.
•
Prolonged exposure to loud noise can be harmful to hearing and lead to hearing loss.
Wear approved and suitable ear defenders.
•
The safe use of the equipment requires the user’s complete attention. Avoid using ear
defenders that have a built-in radio/music.
Pressurised fluid
•
Pressurised fluid can penetrate the skin and cause severe injury.
•
Avoid this hazard by releasing the pressure in the hydraulics before detaching
hydraulic hoses.
•
Apply a piece of paper or cardboard (never body parts) to check for suspected leaks.
Use safety gloves and safety goggles when working with hydraulic systems.
•
If an accident occurs, seek medical help immediately. Skin that has been penetrated by
a liquid must be treated within a few hours to avoid gangrene.
Safety labels
The flail mower is equipped with safety labels. These support the safe operation of
the equipment. Read the safety labels and follow the instructions.
1.
Keep the safety labels clean and legible.
2.
Replace worn, damaged or illegible labels. To order new labels, contact the supplier.
3.
If a component that is equipped with a label is to be replaced, ensure that new labels
are ordered when ordering spare parts.

How to attach a new label:
a)
Clean the area where the label will be attached
b)
Spray the area with soapy water.
c)
Remove the paper from the back of the label and press it firmly against the
surface.
d)
Press out any air bubbles using a credit card or similar.
