Operating the machine
WARNING

machine and in the user manual.
Gear selector
The gear selector is located between the two handles. Place the handle in one of
seven positions to control direction and speed of travel. See Figure 1.
Forward
There are six forward gears. Position 1 is the slowest and position 6 is the fastest.
Reverse
There are two reverse speeds (R). Position 1 is the slowest and position 2 is the
fastest.
Primer bulb
Pressing the primer bulb forces fuel directly into the carburettor. This may be
necessary when starting in cold weather.
Choke
The choke is located at the rear of the engine and is activated by turning the knob
clockwise. Activating the choke closes the choke on the carburettor and helps start the
engine. See Figure 2.
