Checking the engine oil
1.
Ensure that the engine is an upright position and level
2.
Unscrew the oil plug with the dipstick and wipe the dipstick. See Figure 28.
3.
Screw the oil plug back into the oil filler pipe. Tighten securely.
4.
Unscrew the oil plug with the dipstick and read the oil level on the stick. If the oil level
is below the "L" (LOW) mark, slowly add oil to reach the "H" (HIGH) mark, see Figure 29.
5.
Replace the oil plug and tighten securely.
6.
Wipe away any spilled oil.
