Inspection
Before starting
Before starting, all bolts and joints must be checked and retightened as required. At
the same time, it is recommended to check the oil level and top up as required.
Check that the control levers are working and that all guards are in place.
Check the tyre pressure
–
it should be the same on both wheels and between 15 and
20 psi.
Check for wear on skid shoes and scraper blade.
Periodic
Every 12 months or after 100 operating hours.
1.
Dismantle the shear pins and lubricate them with lubricating oil.
2.
Check, clean and adjust the spark plug if necessary.
3.
Change the engine oil.
4.
Clean the carburettor float chamber.
5.
Check the V-belts' tension and condition.
6.
Lubricate the sliding surfaces of the discharge chute and the auger with universal
grease.
After service/repair
After service or repair, or after an accident or a long period of inactivity, check that the
snow thrower is working properly and that any faults have been rectified before
putting the machine back into service. Also check that all joints are tight and that any
tools have been removed from the machine.
