Lubrication
WARNING
Before lubrication, repair or inspection, disconnect all controls and stop the
engine. Wait until all moving parts have come to a complete standstill.
Gear shaft
The gear shaft must be lubricated at least once a
season or after every 25 operating hours.
1)
Remove the lower guard by removing the two
screws that secure it.
2)
Apply a thin layer of universal grease to the shaft.
See Figure 11.
IMPORTANT: Avoid spilling oil onto rubber coatings.
Rubber tracks
Remove both rubber tracks at least once a season. Clean and lubricate the shaft with
a layer of universal grease before reinstalling the tracks.
Auger
Remove the shear pins on the auger shaft at
least once a season. Spray lubricant into the
shaft around the spacers. Also grease the
flanged bearings at each end of the shaft.
