Safety equipment
•
It is advisable to wear personal protective clothing and equipment.
•
Dress appropriately and do not wear loose-fitting clothing.
•
Prolonged exposure to loud noise can be harmful to hearing. Wear suitable hearing
protection.
•
Safe use of the equipment requires the undivided attention of the user. Avoid using
hearing protection with built-in radio / music.
Pressurised fluid
•
Outflowing pressurised fluid can penetrate the skin and cause severe personal injury.
•
Therefore, always remember to release pressure before disconnecting hydraulic
hoses.
•
Use a piece of paper or cardboard (never body parts) to check for suspected leaks.
Wear protective gloves and safety goggles or visor when working with hydraulic
systems.
•
If an accident occurs, seek medical help immediately. If fluid has been injected into the
skin, it must be treated within a few hours; otherwise gangrene can set in.
Safety labels
The flail mower is supplied with safety labels. These are intended to help ensure
correct and safe use of the equipment. Read them and follow the instructions.
1.
Keep the labels clean and legible.
2.
Replace missing or damaged labels. New labels can be ordered from the supplier.
3.
If components with labels are replaced, corresponding labels must be attached to the
new replacement components. Make sure to order them together with the new
component.
4.
When attaching new labels, follow the instructions below:
a)
Clean the area where the label will be attached
b)
Use soapy water
c)
Remove the paper from the back of the label and press it firmly against the
surface.
d)
Press out any air bubbles using a credit card or similar.
