Maintenance under special circumstances
Operating requirements Precautions with maintenance
Peat soil, rain or snow
Check that all of the drainage plugs are tightened.
After using the machine, clean and check bolts and nuts to
ensure they are not broken, damaged, loose or lost.
Lubricate all parts that must be lubricated at the same time.
On a beach
Check that all of the drainage plugs are tightened.
After use clean the machine thoroughly to remove salt. Carry
out maintenance on the electrical system often to prevent
corrosion.
Dusty environments
Air filter: Clean the filter element at regular intervals, checking
after medium-long periods or shorter periods of time.
Radiator: Clean the oil cooler filter at regular intervals, after
medium-long periods or shorter periods of time.
Fuel system: Clean the filter at regular intervals, after medium-
long periods or shorter periods of time.
Electrical devices: Clean at regular intervals, especially the
generator and starter.
Stony roads
Tracks: Careful operation. Check frequently the bolts and nuts
to ensure that are not broken, damaged or missing. Loosen the
track a little more than normally.
Boom tools: Parts can become damaged on stony roads.
Therefore use a reinforced or very robust bucket.
Icy conditions
Fuel: Use high-quality fuel that is suitable to use in low
temperatures.
Lubricant: Hydraulic oil and engine oil are suitable for use in icy
conditions.
Battery: Keep the battery fully charged and carry out
maintenance on the battery more frequently. The electrolyte
can freeze if the battery is not fully charged.
Tracks: Keep the tracks clean. Park the machine on a flat surface
to avoid the tracks freezing.
Falling stones
Roof above the operator’s seat: Add protection to the roof
above the operator’s seat if necessary to prevent the machine
becoming damaged from falling stones.
