Check and replacement of engine oil
Recommended engine oil: 15W – 40 engine oil.
IMPORTANT
The engine oil level must be checked EVERY DAY.
The engine oil and oil filter must be replaced after every 500 hours of operation.
1.
Start the engine to warm up the oil properly.
2.
Park the machine on a flat surface.
3.
Lower the bucket to the ground.
4.
Allow the engine to operate in idle at low speed for five minutes.
5.
Turn the ignition key to OFF and remove the ignition key.
6.
Remove the drainage plug to allow the oil to flow out through a clean cloth into a
suitable container.
7.
Check the cloth for any pieces of metal, etc.
8.
Re-fit the drainage plug and tighten it.
9.
Remove the screws that secure the engine oil elements to remove the filter element.
10.
Replace the filter with a new filter and tighten the screws that secure the new element.
11.
Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick and add the recommended oil. After 15 minutes check
the oil level to ensure it is between the two marks on the dipstick.
12.
Refit the oil fill cap/dipstick.
13.
Switch off the engine and remove the ignition key.
14.
Check the oil drainage plug for leaks.
15.
Check the oil level using the dipstick.
