4 IN 1: OVERVIEW - MULCHING, SIDE-DISCHARGE & REAR DISCHARGE:
MULCHING:
Mulching lawn mowers recycle grass clippings by finely cutting and re-cutting the grass concealing
cuttings within the standing grass to wilt and decompose thereby feeding the soil.
TIPS FOR MULCH MOWING
A)
Cut your lawn regularly. Ideally, for example, where the grass height is 6cm only cut 2cm off.
B)
Ensure the lawnmower blade is sharp.
C)
Do not mulch wet grass.
D)
Set engine speed to MAX.
E)
Only push lawnmower at walking pace.
F)
Regularly clean mulching wedge, inner side housing and lawnmower blade.
FITTING THE MULCHING PLUG:
NOTE: ONLY FIT WHEN ENGINE IS SWITCH OFF.
WARNING: ONLY FIT WHEN THE ENGINE & BLADE ARE STATIONARY.
A)
Lift the rear discharge flap and remove the grass catcher.
B)
Push the mulching wedge into the discharge channel.
C)
Lock the mulching wedge with the housing nose to the bottom side of the mulching wedge
grip, the mulching wedge grip must snap into the opening of the housing (see pictures 1 & 2)
D)
Lower the discharge flap.
