Operation:
1.
Open the battery compartment door.
2.
Insert two C size batteries ensuring polarity is correct.
3.
Close the battery compartment door, the unit is ready to use.
4.
Install under the hood. Avoid high temperature areas (eg. Exhaust manifold). Use the
included vinyl cable ties to secure the unit safely to engine compartment. Do not
place the unit where it will interfere with any moving parts.
5.
Switch on the unit by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds, The
LED will light up and the unit will switch on.
6.
Switch off the unit by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button again for 2 seconds,
The LED will flash 5 times and unit will switch off.
7.
In operation, the unit will sound a 12 KHz frequency tone. This tone is unpleasant
to pests and will help to deter pests.
8.
The status LED light up when the unit is activated.
9.
Under typical usage, the battery life is more than 1 year (alkaline battery).
