Air Adjustment
The venturi comes from the factory set to the closed position for use with
natural gas. It will need to be adjusted toward the open position for use
with propane. To adjust the venturi, the right hand side panel must be
removed; See (“Cladding Removal/Installation” on page 27). To the
left of the gas supply hose is a wing nut which can be move to the left or
right (Figure 59) & (Figure 60). Loosening and moving the wing-nut to the
left opens the venturi and loosening and moving the wing-nut to the right
closes the venturi. The setting will depend on several variables such as
which type of gas is being used, the volume of air being supplied, the
length of intake and exhaust ventilation etc.

Venturi adjustment
Air restrictor adjustment
The Air restrictor is a vent located on the ceiling of the firebox. It controls
the air flowing to the exhaust. The stove comes from the factory with
the vent set in the open position (Figure 61). If the flame is “hectic” or
is “jumping”, restrict the air outflow by partially closing the vent (Figure
62). This will assist in the flame settling down to give a more “easy” or
“lazy” appearance. Use adjustment screws to set the vent to the desired
position.

NOTE:
Venturi comes from the factory in the CLOSED position for
use with Natural Gas.
Air restrictor comes from the factory in the OPEN position.
