Function Buttons 1 - 4 select HDCD 16-bit encode and monitor modes. Button #1 (PEAKEXT)
selects if Peak Extension or HDCD Limiting are on or off, button #2 (LOWLVL) selects if
normal Low Level Extension is on or off, button #3 (MONHD16) selects if HDCD 16-bit
amplitude decoding during monitoring is on or off, and button #4 (SCALING) selects if
Gain Scaling during monitoring is on or off. Button # 5 (SOURCE) selects the Monitor
Source Menu. See pages 35, 36, 51, 69 and 70 for additional information on Peak Exten-
sion, HDCD Limiting, Low Level Extension, and Gain Scaling.
Monitor Source Menu
The Monitor Source Menu is reached from the Operating Menu by selecting (OPS 2/SOURCE).
Function buttons 1 - 4 select the monitor source. Button #1 (FOLWMTR) selects the meter
source as the monitor source, button #2 (OUT_1) selects digital output 1, button #3
(OUT_2) selects digital output 2, and button #4 (DIG_IN) selects digital input 1 as the
monitor source. Pressing ENTER activates the selected source.
In follow meter mode, (FOLWMTR) the monitor source is the same as the meter source
selected in the Operating Menu. The other modes allow different sources to be displayed
on the meters while the monitor source remains constant.
Levels Menu
The Levels Menu is reached from the Operating Menu by selecting (LEVELS). Analog input
level, digital signal level, monitor output level, and output 1 offset can be adjusted in the
Levels Menu. The menu appears in different forms depending on the selected operating
mode. Some examples are shown below.
In a 44.1 kHz A/D mode (AD_44.1 or AD+DD44):
