to -78 dBu, selectable in 0.1 dB nominal steps (actual step resolution is 0.188 dB). For
88.2 and 176.4 kHz monitoring, the level range is +24 to -11.9 dBu in actual 0.1 dB steps.
Function button #4 (MONHD16) when set to the OFF position allows listening to HDCD 16-
bit signals through the D/A analog outputs without HDCD amplitude decoding. For more
information on operation of the MONHD16 control see the Monitor Setup Menu on page 61.
In the top right corner of the menu, the current level values are displayed. The Rotary
Control is used to change levels. While the Rotary Control is active, pressing function
button #5 (UNDO) deactivates the control and returns the level setting to its previous
value. When the desired level is set, pressing the ENTER button accepts it and deactivates
the knob. Toggling to a different selection will keep the new level. If the Levels Menu is
exited while the Rotary Control is active, it will remain active. Rotating the control one
step in either direction will recall the Levels Menu with the control still active. This allows,
for example, pushing the Menu Up button to get to the Operating Menu, selecting a
different meter mode and returning directly to level adjustment by rotating the control, or
pushing the Menu Down button.
Setup Menu
The Setup Menu is reached from the Operating Menu by selecting (SETUP).
Page one of the Setup Menu:
Function buttons 1-4 select different menus. Button #1 (MODE) selects the 44.1/48 Base
Sample Rate Menu and the Operating Mode Menus, button #2 (OUTPUT) selects the Digital
Output Menu, button #3 (INPUT) selects the Analog Input Menu in A/D modes and the
Digital Input Menu in D/D modes. Button #4 (PRESETS) selects the Recall Presets Menu,
and button #5 (MORE...) selects page two of the Setup Menu. Descriptions of the above
menus begin on pages 45, 47, 52, 56 and 59.
