Rev. C - January 2002
Function button #1 (PEAKHLD) toggles between four peak level hold settings. HOLD -
holds peaks until cleared by the Meter Reset Button, LONG - peaks held for 4 seconds,
SHORT - peaks held for 1.5 seconds, and NONE - peaks not held.
Button #2 (OVRLD_1) selects the Meter Overload Light #1 Menu and button #3 (OVRLD_2)
selects the Meter Overload Light #2 Menu.
Button #4 (FINEREF) enables the Rotary Control to change the fine reference level setting.
The fine reference level range is from -6 to -21 dBfs in 1 dB steps. Pressing ENTER activates
the selected level. Note that the fine reference level is purely a metering function and does
not affect signal input or output levels. Button #5 (DISPLAY) selects between a standard
peak reading bar (PEAKBAR), and an average reading bar with a single pip peak indication
(AVRG/PK). AVRG/PK mode displays both average levels, which determine perceived loud-
ness and channel balance, and peak digital signal levels at the same time. The DISPLAY
setting is not stored in presets.
Meter Overload Light #1 Menu
The Meter Overload Light #1 Menu is reached from the Operating Menu by selecting
(SETUP/MORE.../METER/OVRLD_1).
Function button #1 (THRSHLD) enables the Rotary Control to change the overload light
threshold setting. The threshold range for light #1 is from 1 to 4 successive full scale data
words. Button #2 (HOLD) toggles between overload light hold ON and OFF. When hold is
on, the overload light remains lit until cleared by the Meter Reset Button. When hold is
off, the overload light follows the peak hold setting defined in the Meter Setup Menu.
Button #5 (UNDO) cancels the setting change and ENTER activates the selection.
Meter Overload Light #2 Menu
The Meter Overload Light #2 Menu is reached from the Operating Menu by selecting
(SETUP/MORE.../METER/OVRLD_2).
