The
Packard Bell Smart TV32
provides not only a digital enter-
tainment centre, but also a fully-featured computer that may be used
for almost any computing task.
The following section of this guide provides information about the
Windows XP interface and the tools provided by Packard Bell to
complete your computing experience.
Accessing the Windows XP interface
By default, the Windows Media Center interface is active. You may
close this interface and access the Windows XP desktop by accessing
the Media Center main menu and then pressing the left arrow on the
remote control.
Press OK to open the
Shut Down
window. Check that the
Close
Media Center
option is selected and press the
OK
button.
If you want to hide the Windows Media Center interface tempo-
rarily, use the mouse to move the cursor. At the same time you move
the cursor, a bar accross the top of the screen will appear.
Click on the small icon that represents two windows in the top-right
corner of this bar.
Accessing Windows Media Center
You may start Windows Media Center from Windows
XP by pressing the green Microsoft button on the
remote control, or by clicking on Start > Media Center.

To open
InfoCentre
, double-click on the User’s Guide (Packard Bell
InfoCentre) icon on your desktop or click on Start > All Programs >
Packard Bell Support > User’s Guide (Packard Bell InfoCentre).
To find more information basic computer use, troubleshooting and
recovery tools, click on the Guides button, then on Quick Start and
Troubleshooting Guide.

Guide for future reference.
