Remote Control
Record/Playback controls
A.
Records
the current playback, if
supported. For example, if watch-
ing
Live TV
, this button will open
the Record TV section.
B.
Stops
playback, if supported.
C.
Pauses
and restarts playback, if
supported. For example, if you
pause
Live TV
a status bar will be
displayed, showing how much
Live TV
has been recorded and
how much recording space is left.
D. Starts playback, if supported, or confirms a selection.
Use the Reverse / Forward buttons to activate fast rewind / fast
forward. Press several times to change how fast playback is shown.
Use the Replay / Skip buttons to skip to the previous /next chapter.
Menu Navigation controls
A. Activates TV display (in TV/PC
mode).
B. Opens the on-screen TV program
guide (in TV/PC mode).
C. Returns one step, if supported.
D. Opens the help pages
Move through menu options with the
arrow keys. Press OK to activate the
selected menu option.
Gyroscopic buttons (cursor/
mouse controls)
A. Simulate a left-click on a mouse.
B. Press and hold to activate the
gyroscopic cursor control. Dou-
ble-click to activate the gyro-
scopic control until the button is
pressed again.
C. Simulate a right-click on a mouse.
When using the gyroscopic control,
the position of the cursor may be
controlled by simply turning your
wrist, and the remote control, in the
direction you want the cursor to move.
Media Center Button
Open the
Windows Media Center
Home page.
Volume and Channel controls
A. Use the + and - buttons to adjust
the speaker volume.
B. Mute the speakers.
C. Use the + and - buttons to change
channels.
Media Center shortcuts
Use these four buttons to open
commonly used sections in Windows
Media Center:

My DVD

My Pictures.
D.
Messenger
.
Alpha-Numeric keypad
Use these buttons to enter numbers
and choose chapter numbers. If
supported these buttons can also be
used to enter text. Use the
Clear
or
Enter
buttons to correct text or make
a selection.
Teletext and display buttons
A. Change the source signal (
PC
,
HDMI
,
YPbPr
or
SCART
) dis-
played on the screen.
B. Activate the OSD. The OSD (On
Screen Display) menu allows you
to change display and audio set-
tings for the screen.
C. Toggle teletext functions.
D. No second function.
E. Change the display mode. Chang-
ing the Display Mode adjusts the
aspect ratio shown on the screen, allowing you to adjust to a for-
mat that is not automatically detected in
Auto
mode (default).
When teletext functions are active (press ‘C’), these buttons may be
used to select the colour-coded shortcuts when using teletext.
Programming the remote control
The remote control may be programmed to operate many types of
audio/video devices, including DVD players, CD players, set-top
boxes and many other devices that use an infrared remote control.
Two mode buttons (
AUX
and
CAB/SAT
) are available that may be
programmed.
