Learning mode
The remote control may learn commands from other remote control
units. This allows common functions to be transferred to the Smart
TV32 remote control to be used when it is in either
AUX
or
CAB/
SAT
mode. The codes used to program the Smart TV32 remote
control (either automatic or manual) feature the most common
functions for the device, additional functions may be added with the
learning process.
For best results when sending the infrared signals, perform
the learning process in a low-light area and use fresh batter-
ies in both remote controls.
Learned functions for a mode may be erased if a different device
is programmed.
1. Press and hold the button for the mode you wish to program
(
AUX
or
CAB/SAT
). then press and hold the Record button on
the Smart TV32 remote control.
2. Hold both button until the delected mode button turns off,
flashes and turns off again. Release the buttons.
3. Press and release the button that you wish to program on the
Smart TV32 remote control. If the mode button flashes 4 times
than the selected button may not be progammed; try another but-
ton.
4. Position the remote control (with the function to be learned)
behind the Smart TV32 remote control, no more than 5 cm apart
(the infrared emitter should point at the small sensor on the base
of the Smart TV32 remote control).
5. Press and hold the button that you wish to copy until the mode
button on the Smart TV32 remote control turns off and on again.
If the mode button flashes four times, repeat the process from
step 3 onwards.
6. You may program other buttons; repeat the process from step 3
onwards for each function to be learned.
7. Press Clear to exit learning mode.
A learned function may be removed:
1. Press and hold the button for the mode you wish to program
(
AUX
or
CAB/SAT
). then press and hold the Clear button for 3
seconds.
2. Release both buttons. The device mode button will turn on.
3. Press and release the button for the function you wish to remove.
The device mode button with flash once to indicate that the func-
tion has been cleared. If the mode button flashes 4 times than the
selected button may not be cleared.
4. You may clear other buttons; repeat the process from step 3
onwards for each function to be learned.
5. Press Clear to exit the remove function mode.
