9 OPERATION
9.1 Ignition
• Open the sliding door, using the dedicated
glove supplied, gripping the handle and push-
ing it upwards or by acting on the control panel
(for models with automatic opening).
• Using the cold handle supplied (

) open the
primary air adjustment to maximum (

• Carefully place the pieces of wood in the
combustion chamber, being careful not to
completely cover the slots in the grate (

• Place a natural fire-igniter on the pile of wood.
• Add small pieces of wood on top of the stack in
a crossed over-type pattern.
• Light the fire-igniter from above.
• Close the fire door and make sure it is firmly
closed.
• Keep the air intake open to ensure a high and
bright flame.
• Reduce the opening of the air intake using the
dedicated cold handle (

) only when a
good base of embers has formed.

9.2 Adding fuel
During operation, to add fuel, it is necessary to
follow this procedure:
• Slowly open the fire door in order to avoid cre-
ating an air depression in the fire box, which
would cause an almost certain release of smoke
into the room (depending on the flue draw).
• Refill the fire box with fuel and then close the
fire door.
Do not overheat the product by inserting an
excess quantity of fuel.
Introduce fuel when the embers have formed
and the flame has lowered.
The appliance is equipped with a bypass valve,
which, when opened, facilitates the escape of
smoke into the flue, minimising puffs of smoke
into the environment.
9.3 Operation version WT60 3D N16
Natural convection heating.
In this configuration, combustion is regulated by
inserting the cold handle supplied (A) into the
adjustment lever located at the base of the door.
