Washing the device
In order to prevent any mounting residues from deteriorating the
components of the module you have to clean the entire system, the
generator side and the heating side.
Check the tightening of all parts, of the
module and of the connected circuits. Check the sealing before filling
it; this way you will prevent possible splashes or leakages that might
damage the electrical components. Open the shut-off valves installed
on the module and wash the primary circuit following the indications
provided by the manufacturer of the generator. Wash the heating circuit
in the same manner.
When filling the system, check once again that all connections are closed.
When you are sure that all the plant has been washed thoroughly, stop
the washing cycle.
Filling and bleeding
Fill the primary circuit and the heating circuit with water or suitable liquid
according to the system design indications, respecting the limits of the
components. When filling the plant, open the vents along the circuits.
Proceed with a ventilation circuit.
After it is completed, make sure the work pressure is correct. If the
pressure is not enough, adjust the value, repeating the procedure above.
It is very important to fill the circuits; if you start the module without
filling the circuits, the pump might damage them.
Circulation pumps:
The module is supplied with highly efficient circulation pumps, in
compliance with the Erp legislation in force.
The default setting of the circulation pumps is represented by constant
pressure curves. If the system design provides other settings, follow the
indications in the specific instructions sheet.
MAINTENANCE
CAUTION
Before proceeding with any intervention, cut off the power supply
using the external switch. To ensure the safety and proper operation
of the module, the maintenance must be carried out by an authorised,
qualified technician.
Remove the deposits of scale on the components, following the
instructions in the safety sheet of the worn product, ventilating the
environment, wearing protective clothing, avoiding mixing various
products, protecting the device or the surrounding objects.
As a precaution, check once a year the entire heat generator system and
the heating circuit, including the module. It is very important to check:
- All system threaded or welded seals
- For any obvious lime deposits
Lime deposits on the plate exchanger might reduce the system efficiency,
therefore you must make sure that:
- The primary circuit return temperature is not too high
- The heating circuit delivery temperature is not reduced with respect
to its initial value;
- The target temperature can be reached
Hydraulic connection
The module must be connected to circuits of proper size, matching the
module performances.
Before proceeding with the hydraulic connection, you have to:
s
Wash the system pipes properly to remove any residues of threads,
welds or dirt that might affect its proper operation;
s
Make sure the pressure values in the various circuits fall within the
module’s work range;
s
Make sure the temperature values of the various circuits fall within
the module’s work range;
s
Make sure both circuits are equipped with all safety elements
necessary for proper operations of the module and of its circuits;
Make sure the model you chose matches the type of hydraulic circuit
you want to use.
Primary side – Connection to the generator
The module is connected to the heat generator through delivery and
return connections located at the bottom of the module.
Respect these positions to ensure the module’s declared hydraulic
performance.
The module is provided with threaded connections ¾” M. If you need
other type of connections you can use adaptors supplied directly by the
device manufacturer. The manufacturer is not liable for malfunctions if
inappropriate adapters are installed.
The module is provided with an air vent on the circuit to facilitate
ventilation. The module can be equipped in standard setup with a 3 bar
safety valve on the primary circuit to ensure the safety of the product
under pressure. The delivery pipe of the primary circuit should be as short
as possible to reduce the heating time of the exchanger to minimum.
However you should provide an appropriate insulation to prevent the
heat from dispersing in the environment. However, the maximum length
of the delivery and return pipes must respect the pressure drop values
allowed by the residual prevalence curve.
The module is provided by default with shut-off valves that render the
maintenance operations easier.
Secondary side – Connection to the heating circuit
The module is connected to the heating system through delivery and
return connections located at the bottom of the module. Respect these
positions to ensure the module’s declared hydraulic performance. The
module is provided with threaded connections ¾” M. If you need other
type of connections you can use adaptors supplied directly by the device
manufacturer. The module is provided with an air vent on the circuit to
facilitate ventilation. The module can be equipped in standard setup with
a 3 bar safety valve to ensure the safety of the product under pressure.
However, the maximum length of the pipes and of the other components
of the heating circuit must respect the pressure drop values allowed by
the residual prevalence curve.
The module is provided by default with shut-off valves that render the
product maintenance operations easier.
COMMISSIONING
To ensure the safety and proper operation of the module, the
commissioning must be carried out by an authorised, qualified technician.
