Hand/arm vibration

The following vibration levels have been measured, in accordance with EN 60745:

Long sanding plate

Vibration emissions value:

a

h

/

DS

< 8.8 m/s

²

Measuring inaccuracy:

K

= 1.5 m/s

²

Short sanding plate

Vibration emissions value:

a

h

/

DS

< 8.8 m/s

²

Measuring inaccuracy:

K

= 1.5 m/s

²

The vibration level stated corresponds with the principal use of the electrical tool. If the machine is
used for other purposes, with other insertion tools or if the maintenance is inadequate then
the vibration level may be different. This can increase the vibration loading throughout
the complete working period.

Safety instructions for handling dust

Caution!
Extremely fine sanding dust!  Wear a dust mask!  Always wear a dust mask when sanding wood floors.  Use the
dust mask which is supplied in the tool bag.

Saw dust is created while using the machine as intended for sanding of wood floors.  Wood floors that have waterproofing
agents, solvents, or waterborne coatings can create dust that may cause allergic reactions.  Sawdust from various species
of wood are classified as carcinogens.

The tool has a connection (Ø 1

1/2”

 /

1

 3/8”

) for an external vacuum cleaner or a dust bag,

without which the tool should not be operated (C). Only operate the machine with the
separation device intact. (See 6.3)

Caution! Risk of fire and explosion! No smoking!
No sources of ignition may be present in the areas where sanding is taking place!
Ventilate the area properly!
When combined with an ignition source and the oxygen present in the air, sawdust can
cause fires and explosions.

Sanding metal parts, e.g. nails, can produce sparks which are blown into the dust container in the
vacuum cleaner along with the sawdust. There is a risk of fire even hours later as hot embers can smolder.

Each time the tool is brought to a stop, and when the work is complete, the sanding dust inside
the vacuum cleaner must be immediately disposed of in a fireproof, non-combustible container.
The container must be sealed with a fireproof, non-combustible cover.
Only store the container in an outdoor location.

Caution!
When disposing of sanding dust, always wear a dust mask
