DEEP FRYER PREPARATION
Before using it for the first time
- Remove the packaging. Take the lid off the deep fryer. You will find a basket inside it. Remove all of the objects inside
the deep fryer.
- We strongly recommend you clean the lid, casing, tank, and basket in the way described in the Cleaning section.
- Take the power cord out of its compartment.
Electrical connection
- Make sure that the appliance’s voltage (see name plate) and the mains voltage coincide.
- The plug should only be plugged into to a correctly installed 230 V~50 Hz socket that is earthed.
Connected power
This total electrical consumption that this appliance can reach is 2,000 W. With this charge connected, a separate power
line is recommended, protected by a 10 A domestic circuit breaker.
OVERLOAD PRECAUTION:
- If you use an extension cord, it should have a cable section of at least 1.5 mm.
- Do not use adaptor plugs as this appliance is too powerful.
Tips for use
1 Always remove any remains of food that might still be in the oil (e.g. chips). Change the oil after several uses. Use
top quality oils and greases for frying.
2 The greases and oils used should withstand high temperatures. Do not use margarine or butter: they are not suitable
for frying as they start to burn at low temperatures. We recommend using liquid oil for frying.
3 To reduce the acrylamide content in foods that contain starch (potatoes, cereals) the temperature should not exceed
170 ºC (or, possible, 175 ºC). Furthermore, you should fry them for the as little time as possible, cooking food until it
is golden.
4 Remember that the safety switch is activated when you insert the control element in the guide mechanism.
5 Choose the right temperature for frying and check the condition of the food you want to cook. Generally, precooked
food requires higher temperatures than raw food.
6 Do not move the deep fryer while the oil is still hot.
7 To fry battered food, remove any excess batter and put the portions carefully into the oil.
8 Make sure that the basket-s handle is correctly fastened.
-
Push the two loose ends of the handle at the same time.
-
Insert these ends into the corresponding inner anchors of the basket.
9 The basket should not be filled over 2/3 of its capacity. Do not overload the basket.
10 Dry damp food with a cloth before frying it.
