IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
HOW TO USE
SELECTION OF TEMPERATURE
CAUTION
1. Put the iron on upright position.
Sort the clothes according to the group of fabrics indicated on the
temperature select control.
2. Set the temperature control dial to the MIN position.
3. Connect the plug into the outlet.
4. Set the temperature control dial to the desired position which is suitable to
the type of fabric. Wait for approximately 2 minutes until the iron gets hot.
Check the label attached to the clothes and follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
First iron the clothes which require the lowest temperature. After that, iron
those that require higher temperatures. This is because it takes more
time for the iron to get cool than to get hot.
To avoid scorching or spoiling the cloth, pay attention to the fabric
composition of the clothes.
In blended yarn fabrics, select the temperature suitable to the fabric
resistant to the lowest temperature.
Avoid ironing on something hard such as zipper, metallic button, etc. in
order not to damage the surface of the soleplate.
MAINTENANCE
After the ironing, cool the iron and then wipe it with a piece of soft cloth.
CAUTION : Do not use any abrasive material.
In case the fabric composition of the clothes is unknown, make trial
ironing at a least conspicuous part of the clothes before regular ironing.
Try at lower temperature, and then gradually increase the temperature to
find an ideal temperature for the material.
Read all instructions carefully before using your electric iron.
This iron is recommended for household use only.
Before plugging, make sure that the input voltage is the same as the
rated voltage marked on the iron.
Do not operate the iron with a damaged cord or the iron has been
damaged or the main socket is loose.
Never disassemble, repair or modify this iron. For any repair work,
request at an authorized Panasonic Service Shop.
To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage
appliance on the same circuit.
Do not leave the iron unattended while it is connected to outlet. When
leaving the room even for a short time, disconnect the power plug and
put it on upright position. Keep the iron away from small children.
Never pull the cord directly to disconnect from outlet; instead grasp the
plug firmly and pull to disconnect.
Don't use the iron with the cord in tangled condition. The supply cord
might be damaged soon. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by our service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to
avoid hazard.
To avoid a risk of electric shock, do not put the iron in water or any other
liquid.
The iron should always be turned to MIN before plugging or unplugging
from outlet.
Let the iron cool completely, before storing it. Loop cord loosely around
the iron and put it on upright position when storing.
To avoid burning, never touch the hot metal parts of the iron.
The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the
stand is placed is stable.
The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible
signs of damage or if it is leaking.
