Warnings
REMOTE:
Blinks when the wrong equipment
setting is selected on the remote control unit.
:
Lights when condensation has formed
inside the camera-recorder.
:
Blinks when cylinder heads are dirty.
:
Blinks when a tape has not been inserted
or the write-protect switch is engaged.
END:
Blinks when the tape has reach the
end.
:
Lights if a problem has occurred while
taking a self-portrait in the mirror mode.
:
Lights when the internal battery for the
calendar has run out.

Backup unit displays
The status of the backup unit connected to the
DV connector is displayed here.
Nothing is displayed if in the setup menus,
OTHER FUNCTIONS screen, DV CONTROL,
you have selected “OFF”.

The backup unit is not connected.

Optical Image Stabilizer (
) display
Appears when the Optical Image Stabilizer is
ON.

Recording time mode (SP/LP)
SP: Standard mode
LP: Extended mode

Progressive mode
Frame rate information during shooting in the
progressive mode is displayed here.

Squeeze information
Appears when in the setup menus, CAMERA
SETUP screen, ASPECT CONV, you have
selected “SQUEEZE” (Page 71) or when playing
back images recorded in the squeeze mode.

Setting selection
The selected setting is displayed here when a
switch is selected or a button is pressed to select
a setting.

Information display
Following information is displayed depending on
the situation.
• Performance of the auto white balance or the
auto black balance
• Warning (Page 64)
• The functions allocated to the USER buttons
are displayed while you hold down the MODE
CHK button.
