About UV irradiation
UV irradiation is divided into two types: “Auto controlled UV irradiation” and “Manually controlled UV
irradiation”. With “Auto controlled UV irradiation”, irradiation is executed according to preset values for
intensity and duration of UV irradiation.
With "Manual control UV irradiation", external signals (D-Sub) switch UV intensity settings (UV1 to
UV4) and control irradiation time.
Auto UV irradiation
When auto control (setting) is selected

Manual UV irradiation
When manual control (setting) is selected

①
Set UV control at ON.
②
Execute “Intensity check”. (Note 2)
③
Press the “AUTO” switch to start UV
irradiation. (Note 3)
(The shutter is opened.)

UV irradiation is executed according to
the preset irradiation pattern and
automatically terminated.
(The shutter is closed.)
①
Execute “Intensity check”. (Execution of
check of the intensity setting from UV1 to
UV4)
②
Press the “MANUAL” switch to start UV
irradiation.
(Intensity settings are switched among
UV1 to UV4 by external signals.) (Note
5)
(The shutter is opened.)
③
Press the “MANUAL” switch to terminate
UV irradiation.
(The shutter is closed.)
(Note 1) In case of UV control OFF, the irradiation patterns set in “Intensity Selection”, “Intensity
Setting”, and “Special Intensity” are invalid. The irradiation time set in “Shutter Timer”
becomes valid.
At this time, it is not necessary to execute “Intensity check”.
(Note 2) “Intensity check” should, in UV control ON situations, be executed before UV irradiation. For
details, see Page 44.
(Note 3) When the special intensity UV5 is selected, starting the second-step UV irradiation can be
controlled by turning the interval timer to ON and turning the “Auto” switch to OFF or turning
the “Auto” signal to OFF.
(Note 4) UV irradiation is controlled regardless of ON/OFF of UV control
(Note 5) When the external signal is OFF, the intensity setting "UV1" applies.
Even when no irradiation is performed, switching among U1 to U4 by external signals is
available for preparation purposes.
