Chapter 9 Maintenance — Warning system
Warning system
If an error is detected immediately after the camera is turned on or during operation, the viewfinder, LCD monitor, and tally lamp indicate the error. Deal
with the error by following the indications.

CPS authentication of microP2 memory card has failed.
The microP2 memory card whose CPS authentication
failed cannot be recorded or played back.

[CLIP],
and enter the password.
[BACKUP BATT EMPTY]
Displays any reduced voltage detected on the backup
battery in the internal clock when the power is turned
on.

The current operation will continue.

Charge the built-in battery.
[SET DATE AND TIME]
Displayed when the internal clock setting is reset.
f
The current operation will continue.
f
Set the date/time of the internal clock. (page 36)
[CARD ERROR] (slot number)
Displayed when a data error caused by the microP2
memory card has occurred during the recording.
Displayed after recording stops until the next operation.
Displayed for three seconds when the playback has
stopped due to error of the microP2 memory card
during the playback.
f
If the error occurs during recording, the tally lamp
flashes four times per second for approx. three
seconds after recording stops.
f
The tally lamp does not flash when an error occurs
during playback.
f
The operation will stop.
f
Once it has stopped, the microP2 memory card
where the error has occurred is write-protected.
Replace the microP2 memory card in the slot where
the error has occurred.
[DIR NG CARD] (slot number)
The directory position is not correct.
f
The current operation will continue.
f
Make a card backup immediately and format the card
to use it again.
[FAN STOPPED]
Displayed when the fan motor stops.
f
The current operation will continue.
f
If the fan has stopped with error, stop using the
camera immediately and consult your dealer.
f
If the fan has stopped, temperature of the camera
will rise. Therefore, do not use the camera for a long
period of time.
[HIGH TEMPERATURE]
The temperature inside the camera is higher than that
of the normal conditions.
f
The current operation will continue.
f
Turn off the power of the camera, turn it on again,
and check recording and playback operations. If the
problem persists, consult your dealer.
[PB INTERMITTENT] (slot number)
Playback is interrupted on the SDHC/SDXC memory
card. A card whose playback performance cannot be
assured is inserted.
f
The current operation will continue.
f
It is recommended to use the microP2 memory card.
