NOTE
t
The above table shows values for regular recording. With native recording, even longer recording times are available depending on the system mode.
t
Each recording time will be 1/2 for the 32 GB microP2 memory card.
t
Indicated capacities include management and other area, so the space available for recording is less than the values in the table above.
Dividing of the clip that is recorded in the microP2 memory card
The recording is continued automatically as a separate clip when the continuous recording time for one recording exceeds the following time. When
thumbnails for clips are handled (displayed, deleted, restored, etc.) on P2 devices, they can be handled as a single clip. Clips may be displayed as
separate clips in nonlinear editing software and on a computer. The recording can continue as a single clip when recording with AVC-LongG codec
on a microP2 memory card that is 32 GB or larger by setting main menu
→
[RECORDING SETUP]
→
[FILE SPLIT] to [ONE FILE]. The recording is
divided to approximately 128 second recording files when [SHORT SPLIT] is selected in main menu
→
[RECORDING SETUP]
→
[FILE SPLIT], but it
can be operated as one clip when the thumbnail operation is performed on the P2 device. [SHORT SPLIT] is disabled in interval, one-shot, loop, and
background recording modes.

CPS (Content Protection System)
The microP2 memory card supports the security function “Content Protection System” that allows encryption formatting to prevent data leak to third
parties.
To use the CPS function, set a CPS password to the camera, and enable the microP2 memory card authentication and encryption formatting functions.
An encrypted microP2 memory card will be automatically recognized between devices where the same CPS password is set, and recording and
playback of the microP2 memory card are enabled. For details, refer to “Setting CPS password” (page 114).

NOTE
t
Setting or deleting of CPS can be performed in the main menu
→
[CLIP]
→
[PROPERTY]
→
[CPS PASSWORD].
t
Up to 16 characters can be input.
t
The encrypted microP2 memory card is not recognized on the SD card slot in a computer.
t
If the card is unable to be recognized, authenticate with the correct password or format and use the card as recording media. Recording data on the
card failed to be recognized cannot be checked. Do not perform any operation other than manual authentication and formatting with the failed card
inserted.
t
To access the encrypted card from a computer in the USB device mode, authenticate the encrypted card with P2 Viewer Plus.
Handling of microP2 memory card recorded data
The microP2 memory card is a semiconductor memory card that is used as the recording medium for the professional video production and
broadcasting devices.
f
Since the data recorded in the microP2 format is in a file format, it has excellent compatibility with computers. The file structure is a unique format,
which in addition to video and audio data that is converted to the MXF file, it contains various other important information. The P2 format recorded data
is linked as the following folder structure.
