Adjustable settings when shooting
Adjust the iris and gain when shooting.
Iris

Switch to manual mode with the <AUTO/MANUAL> switch. (page 48)

Press the <IRIS> button to switch the adjustment method for the lens aperture.
[AUTO IRIS]:
Adjusts iris setting automatically. (Auto iris)
[MANUAL IRIS]:
Adjust the lens iris manually. (Manual iris)

When on manual iris, rotate the iris ring to adjust the lens iris.
When the auto iris level function for auto iris is enabled, the value of the auto iris level can be adjusted by turning the iris ring. The value is not
applied to the setting in the main menu

Auto iris does not function when the frame rate is set to [9fps] or lower in variable frame rate, and when the shutter speed is set to less than 1/12.
Gain
If the camera recorder screen is dark, increase the gain to brighten the screen.

Switch gain with the <GAIN> switch.
<L>:
Normally set to this position. (Factory setting is 0 dB)
<M>:
Increases the gain of the camera image amp. (Factory setting is 6 dB)
<H>:
Increases the gain of the camera image amp. (Factory setting is 12 dB)
The gain values for <L>, <M>, and <H> can be changed in the main menu

[SW MODE]

[LOW GAIN], [MID GAIN], and [HIGH GAIN].

When in auto mode, selecting [ON] in the main menu

Super gain
When shooting in dark locations, you can set super gain regardless of whether the camera is in auto mode or manual mode.
Select [24dB], [30dB], [36dB], or [ALL] in the main menu
→
[SW MODE]
→
[SUPER GAIN].
You can switch to the selected gain by pressing a USER button assigned [SUPER GAIN]. (page 42)
When [ALL] is selected, each time the USER button is pressed, the camera toggles [24dB]
→
[30dB]
→
[36dB]
→
normal gain settings in order.

Super gain does not function when the frame rate is set to lower than [12fps] in variable frame rate, or when the shutter speed is set to lower than
1/12.
Brightness adjustment
When the external light is strong, you can switch the ND filter (brightness adjustment filter) to use with the <ND FILTER> switch.

Change the setting of the <ND FILTER> switch.
<1/64>:
Reduce the amount of light entering the MOS sensor to 1/64.
<1/16>:
Reduce the amount of light entering the MOS sensor to 1/16.
<1/4>:
Reduce the amount of light entering the MOS sensor to 1/4.
<OFF>:
Does not use the ND filter.
Macro
Macro function can be switched [ON]/[OFF].

Press the USER button to which [FOCUS MACRO] has been assigned.

When [ON] is set, is displayed at the top of the focus display on the viewfinder or LCD monitor.

The operation mode when [ON] is set can be made in the main menu
→
[SW MODE]
→
[MACRO MODE].

Only the wide macro area is enabled when [MACRO MODE] is set to [WIDE]. The minimum object distance (M.O.D) is maintained to be 1.1 m
when the zoom position is within the tele macro area.

Tele macro area and wide macro area are enabled when [MACRO MODE] is set to [ALL].
Focusing (manual focus)

Switch the method of controlling the focus with the <FOCUS> switch.
<A>:
Changes to the auto focus mode. Adjusts the focus automatically.
<M>:
Changes to the manual focus mode. Control the focus ring manually to adjust the focus.
