Flange back indicator
This indicates the flange back position.

Macro operation
Carry out the following steps for the macro
operation (taking a closeup shot).

Rotate the focus ring fully toward infinity.

Rotate the macro ring toward the arrow as far
as it goes while pulling the macro lever
toward the mount.

Focus the lens by operating the zoom.
<Note>
It is also possible to shoot an object while the
macro ring is in an intermediate position. In this
case, the values of the M.O.D. and the object
area at M.O.D. are those of between normal and
closeup shot.
Procedure to cancel

Rotate the macro ring in the opposite
direction of the arrow untill it clicks.
Macro ring
This is used in conjunction with the macro
lever to perform macro operations.

Zoom ring
The size of the picture can be adjusted by
turning this ring.

Iris ring
The iris can be adjusted by turning this ring.

Flange focal locking knob
This knob is used to lock the flange back
after it has been adjusted.
