Setting Up the Speakers
Remote Control Unit Preparation
Battery Installation (Inserting/Replacing batteries)
1.Remove the battery holder.
Pull the holder by the position B while
pushing position A in the direction indicated
by the arrow.
2.Install the battery on the battery holder.
Set a new battery properly with its (
i
) side
facing up as shown in the figure.
3.Insert the battery holder.
Push in the battery holder back into its
original position.
Battery Notes
Remove and dispose of an old battery immediately.

Battery life: Approximately 6 months with normal use (at room temperature)

Do not disassemble or short the battery. Do not throw a battery into a fire.

Speakers that are Used
Speaker Setup Display
Front speakers
Use the type of speakers that are built into the
driver’s door and the passenger’s door.
Surround speakers
Use the type of speaker that is used on the left
and right side of the rear of the passenger
cabin, or that is built into the rear deck.
Center speaker
Install the speaker near the center console of
the car, or near the dashboard.
(A separate center speaker amplifier is
required.)
If the center speaker is not going to be used,
refer to page 29, and select “None”as the
center speaker setting.
Subwoofer
Because the positioning of the sound from the
subwoofer is not as dependent on the
installation location as it is with other speakers,
the subwoofer can be placed anywhere desired.
(A separate subwoofer amplifier is required.)
If the subwoofer is not going to be used, refer
to page 29, and select “NO” as the subwoofer
setting.

If this unit is going to be used without the
installation of the center speaker, the
surround speakers or subwoofer, set the
speaker setting to suit the speaker system to
be used.
