Taking Pictures Automatically at Set Intervals
([Time Lapse Shot])
If you set the start time of recording, the recording interval and the number of pictures, the
camera can automatically take pictures of subjects such as animals or plants as time
elapses and create a motion picture.

Set the date and time settings in advance.

Pictures taken with Time Lapse Shot are displayed as a set of group pictures.

When [System Frequency] is set to [24.00 Hz (CINEMA)], you can take pictures, but you
cannot create motion pictures from them.

Set the drive mode dial to [

To use the settings you used in the previous recording with
the drive mode [
], start recording without changing the
settings.

Press [MENU/SET].

The screen selected with [Time Lapse/Animation] in the
recording menu will be displayed. (The screen will be
displayed only when you press [MENU/SET] for the first
time after switching the drive mode dial to [
]. In other cases, the camera operates as
usual, displaying the menu screen.)

If you touch [
] before taking pictures, the setting screen for [Time Lapse/Animation]
in the [Rec] menu will be displayed.
