M-Board Processing
18.1. General
The M-board on EURO 4 is used on Wide Screen
models only and allows the input of an S-VHS video
signal fed via the AV3 4 pin input, in addition to the
composite video signal input via the RCA terminal of
AV3.
The chrominance component of the S-VHS video
signal is fed via a switching and mixing circuit which
will be looked at in a moment.
As well as the video inputs just mentioned, the audio
signals are also input via AV3 and two RCA sockets.
These left and right audio signals are also input via
AV3 and the two RCA sockets. These left and right
audio signals are then fed to the E-Board via
connectors M2 pins 8 and 10 and E17.
Once the left and right audio signals are input onto
the E-Board the audio signals are fed directly to the
MSP3410
IC2101
.
The M-Board also contains the main On/Off switch
and the remote control receiver which feeds remote
control commands to the microprocessor
IC1101
pin
74 and the local keys used to process the user
commands which are fed to the microprocessor
IC1101
pin 60.
