Troubleshooting
1. Update procedure of the Printer controller SIMM
NOTE: When the printer hard disk (
FA-HD01
) is installed, change the spool function
setting in the user preset mode (
code us01 in the printer key operator mode
) to 'No'
before proceeding.
1)
Turn off the power switch of the digital copier.
2)
If the digital copier is on a network, disconnect the network cable.
3)
Connect a printer parallel cable between the digital copier and PC.
4)
Turn on the digital copier's power switch.
5)
If a network unit is installed, wait for the status print.
6)
Set the digital copier to 'Off line' mode.
7)
Set the digital copier to user preset mode and select "Printer Setting". Select
"
Test print
" mode in the "
05 Test menu
". Press start, then press OK.
8)
Wait for test print.
9)
Check the Software Version.
10) Press cancel.
11) Set the digital copier to user preset mode and select the '
Flash ROM update
'
menu which is in the Key operator mode of the Printer function setting.
12) Change the setting to 'Yes'. Then press "OK".
13) Escape from the user preset mode.
14) Set the digital copier to 'On line' mode.
15) Reboot your PC into the MS-DOS mode.
