Temperature control
The heat for the heat roller is provided by a halogen lamp. The lamp turns on
during the warm up cycle and periodically during copy operation to maintain
the specified temperature.
Sequence
a)When the power to the copier is turned on the heater lamp is turned on and
begins heating the heat roller. The thermistor monitors the surface temperature
and sends this information to the CPU PCB.
b)When the thermistor detects that the surface temperature has reached (140°C),
the main motor turns on and the heat roller and the pressure roller rotate.
When the surface temperature reaches 190°C the main motor turns off.
The copier is now in the ready condition.
c) While in the ready condition the thermistor maintains the specified temperature
by instructing the CPU PCB to turn the heat lamp on and off.
(Note)
If the temperature of the heat roller surface does not reach the specified value in
the specified time after power on,
E4-01
is indicated on the control panel.
