Installation precautions for the IR system cable

Place the HD Visual Communication Unit behind the doors of a system rack, for example, to ensure that the signals of the
remote controller will not be received directly. If these signals are received directly, they will interfere with the signals of the IR
system cable, and the operations concerned will not be performed properly.

Turn on the power of the camera if remote control operations using the IR repeater function are to be performed. If the
camera’s power is not on, it will not be possible to perform remote control operations using the IR repeater function.

Checking the operations performed when the IR system cable is
installed
Step 1
With the IR system cable not connected to the camera, perform one or more remote control operations, and check that the
HD Visual Communication Unit does not operate in response. (Check that the signals of the remote controller are not being
received directly.) If the HD Visual Communication Unit does operate, select another installation location.
