This setting controls whether or not a password is required when you directly connect this unit and a
smartphone to start remote operations or to use the Wireless Twin Camera function.

If you select [OFF], you can directly connect this unit and a smartphone without entering the
password for this unit’s SSID into the smartphone.

If you select [OFF], you cannot set up a connection with [Easy Connection (WPS)] or [QR code].
Set up a connection by setting this unit’s SSID on the smartphone. (

If you set [ON], the LCD monitor turns off when remotely operating this unit with a smartphone (in
Motion Picture Recording Mode or Still Picture Recording Mode) so that power consumption is
reduced.
