Cleaning the drive rollers and free rollers

Turn the power off.

Push the ADF door release to open the
ADF door.

Use the roller cleaning paper (KV-SS03)
to remove the dirt from the surfaces of
the 4 drive rollers.
•
When wiping off the dirt on the roller sur-
faces, hold the rollers to prevent them
from rotating, and wipe the roller all the
way around them proceeding from one
end to the other in the direction of the
arrows shown in the figure.
Note
•
Cleaning Mode can be used to help when
cleaning the drive rollers.
Use Cleaning Mode with the power turned on.
Cleaning Mode can be set in User Utility.
During Cleaning Mode, the drive rollers rotate a small amount every time the Start/Stop button on the
scanner is pressed.

Close the ADF door.

When you close the ADF door, close it
securely until it is locked.
