Display Colour
Press the drop-down list to select the display colour.
LCD Brightness
Press the drop-down list to select the brightness for
the display.
Backlight Off Timer
Press the drop-down list to select the number of
minutes before the LCD dims. Selecting a shorter
time reduces the KX-NT400’s power consumption.
LCD Off Timer
Press the drop-down list to select the number of
minutes before the LCD turns off. Selecting a
shorter time reduces the KX-NT400’s power
consumption.
If there are missed calls when the specified length
of time has elapsed, the LCD does not turn off.
Instead, a message indicating that you have missed
calls is displayed.

Touch Screen Sound
Select whether the KX-NT400 gives audio feedback
when you perform operations on the screen.

Touch Screen Calibration
Press
Calibration
to calibrate the touch screen.
Follow the on-screen instructions to perform
calibration.
Calibrating the screen ensures that the locations
you press on the screen match the displayed
controls.
Time allowed between character input
Enter the length of time that will elapse before a
character entered with the numeric keys is
accepted. If you press the same key before this time
elapses, the next character for that key will appear.
For details about entering characters with the
numeric keys, see "Entering Characters
(Page 155)".
