ON LINE light - Indicates that the printer is online and able to receive
information.
Column lights - (C1-C6) - Indicate the current setting on the Column
Control Table. A blinking light indicates a setting selectable by
pressing the SET key.
Row lights - (R1, R2, R3) - Indicate the current row setting on the
column control table.
POWER/PAPER OUT light - Indicates power is being supplied to the
printer. A blinking light indicates absence of paper to the printer.
FUNCTION key - Press to enter FUNCTION mode and set the
control table.
ON LINE key - Press to toggle the printer between online and offline.
When printer is offline, press in conjunction with FF and LF keys to
advance the paper one micro line. In the FUNCTION mode, will
perform a MEMO LOAD (loads paper if not installed or parks paper if
paper is installed).
FF key - Advances the paper to the top of the next page when printer
is not printing. Press in conjunction with the ON LINE key to advance
paper one micro line. In the FUNCTION mode, FF moves the
carriage left when the control table is in the RIGHT/LEFT MARGIN
position. Also, sets the MACRO # 1, 2, or 3 READ mode.
LF key - Advances paper one line when printer is not printing. Hold
the key down to advance multiple line feeds. Press in conjunction
with the ON LINE key to reverse the paper one micro line. In the
function mode, LF moves the carriage right when the control table is
in the RIGHT/LEFT MARGIN position. Also sets the MACRO # 1, 2,
or 3 WRITE mode.
ROW key - Advances the row position on the Control Table.
COLUMN key - Advances the column position on the Control Table.
SET key - Sets the conditions on the Control Table in FUNCTION
mode. If printer is not in FUNCTION mode, performs a perforation
cut when the paper feed selector is in the "T PUSH" position.
Self-test
Press the LF key while turning the printer power ON. All ASCII
characters will print in draft and all LQ fonts will print in 10 cpi. For
20 minutes printing will be draft; at this time, press the COLUMN key
to change the font. Press the Power key OFF, at any time, to stop the
test.
Printer Configuration
The Control Table allows the user to make changes in font, pitch,
form length, LPI or margins. To store these changes, use the Macro
keys on the Control Panel.
To set Control Table, Press the FUNCTION key. Press and release
the ROW key until the desired selection is displayed. Press the
COLUMN key in the same manner. Press SET key to store the
setting temporarily. Press the FUNCTION key to exit.
To store changes permanently press MACRO WRITE key.
1. Confirm that printer is ONLINE. If not, press FUNCTION key.
2. Select desired print settings using the ROW and COLUMN keys.
3. Press and release the ROW key until "OTHERS" is displayed.
4. Press and release the COLUMN key until "MACRO #1", "2", or
"3" is displayed.
5. Press LF key. Printer will emit 2 beeps.
6. Press SET key to store into permanent memory. Printer will emit
1 beep.
7. Press FUNCTION key to exit.
To Reset all settings to Factory Default:
1. Press FUNCTION key while turning power ON.
2. Press FF key.
3. Press SET key.
4. Press FUNCTION key.
