Automatic Route Selection (ARS)
Automatically selects the most cost
effective trunk from a maximum of 8
different carriers or Trunk Groups.
Call Accounting (SMDR: Station
Message Detail Recording)
By attaching a PC or printer to the RS-
232C/V.24 port, a detailed record of all
incoming and outgoing calls can be
kept for future referernce and call
accounting purposes.
Computer Telephony Integration
(CTI)
The KX-TD612 supports CTI with TAPI
2 Interface on the RS-232C/V.24 port,
and can be integrated with CTI
applications for the call centre, for
example, provided by third vendors.
Data Line Security
Secures the line from interruption
signals (e.g., Call Waiting Tone) to avoid
introducing errors into the data
transmission. Used for the modem
port.
Day/Night Mode
Some system settings, such as Toll
Restriction and Incoming Call
Distribution Patterns, can be switched
to allow different operation modes,
either automatically or manually,
between day and night.
Delayed Ringing
Allows users to set each extension to
ring immediately, to ring after a certain
period of time (selectable from 2, 4, 6,
or 8 rings later), or to not ring.
Direct Inward System Access
(DISA)
Allows an outside party who calls a
specific phone number assigned to a
DISA line to hear the internal dial tone
and make a direct access to an
extension, Automated Attendant, or
outside line, without the assistance of a
live operator. Up to 32 DISA Security
Codes can be assigned, each Code with
its own Class of Service.
Doorphone/Door Opener
The Doorphone allows the visitors to
talk to an extension. The Door Opener
allows the extension users to unlock
the door from their extensions by
dialling a special dial code or pressing a
function key. By default, the system has
been equipped with 1 Doorphone/Door
Opener. With an additional KX-TD61260
card, the system can support a
maximum of 3 Doorphones/Door
Openers.
Extension Group
Extensions are grouped into a
maximum of 8 separate Extension
Groups. Any extension in the Extension
Group can pick up a call ringing at
another extension within the same
Extension Group (Call Pickup
í
Group).
Hunting Group
Used to direct incoming calls. The
following group types are available for
the Hunting Group:

Manager Extension
One extension in each system can be
assigned as the Manager Extension,
which can perform the system

and save customer’s data to a PC.
Phantom Extension
A virtual extension to create some
applications. Calls to a Phantom
Extension are routed to extensions that
have the corresponding Phantom key. If
multiple extensions are assigned to 1
Phantom Extension, they will ring
simultaneously. Users can call a
