When the
OK
button is selected, the MCS saves the configuration information on disk in the
unit's OFDD.VHO file and returns to the MCS directory window.
The updated OFDD.VHO file is now ready for upload to the unit using the Maintenance
Console Software's file transfer features discussed in section 4.10
Transfer Setup and
Configuration Files to Units.
Click the
Cancel
button in any folder to abort all of the edits made during the current
configuration session.
The Maintenance Console Software then displays a confirmation dialogue box.
Select
Yes
to abandon all changes and return to the directory window.
Note
•
Often, when many units need to be created and configured, several of the units will have
similar configurations. When this is the case, a quick way to create and configure these
additional units is to use the copy and paste commands to create copies of existing units.
Once created, copied units can be quickly renamed and edited with new IP addressing and
numbering information.
•
Select the unit to be copied in the Units window pane and click the
Copy
button on the
Toolbar.
•
Click the mouse in a vacant area of the Units window pane to deselect the copied unit. Then
click the
Paste
button on the Tools bar.
•
The MCS names the copy "Copy of Unit ...".
