Using DVDRgn (region number setting utility)
DVDRgn
This software is used to set the region number of the DVD-RAM/R drive (this setting can only be
changed a maximum of four times). The regions where DVD-VIDEO discs can be played are specified
by region numbers. In order to play a disc, the region number on the DVD-RAM/R drive must match
the region number on the disc. When this DVD-RAM/R drive is shipped from the factory, the region
number is set to “1”(LF-D321U) or “2”(LF-D321E).
You should not have to change the region number under normal circumstances.
Starting DVDRgn
From the Start menu, select [Programs]
→
[Panasonic DVD-RAM]
→
[DVD-RAM driver]
→
[DVDRgn].
Settings

Select the DVD-RAM/R drive.

Insert a DVD-VIDEO disc with the
desired region number setting into
the DVD-RAM/R drive.
•
If no disc is inserted, you cannot set the
region number.

Be sure to check the region num-
ber currently set and the number of
times the region number can be
changed.
•
The region number can be changed a maxi-
mum of four times.
•
If the number of times it can be changed is
“0”, the region number cannot be changed.

Select the region number for the in-
serted disc.
•
You can select the region number by coun-
try name.Click [Select Country Name...],
and select country.

Click [Set Region Number].
Note:
•
When [User Reset Available] is “1”, be sure to insert a DVD disc that only displays one region
number. If a disc displaying multiple region numbers is inserted, you will be unable to set/
change the region number.
•
When using DVDRgn on Windows 2000, login under the user name for the administrator group.
