2-4-6 Detaching / attaching the fiber unit
The fiber unit of this product can be removed from the head at the installation temporarily.
At the delivery state, the fiber unit is connected to the head.

• The fiber cable cannot be removed from the controller side. Trying to disconnect the controller unit from the fiber cable
forcibly may cause a failure.
• Make sure that the serial No. of the head and controller are identical before connecting them.
• The ingress protection characteristics of the head are ensured only when the fiber unit is mounted properly. Read this
chapter thoroughly for correct removal and installation.
• The values of the marking energy measurement and laser pumping measurement / correction (refer to the Operation
Manual) may change by removing and installing the fiber unit.
• When the fiber unit is removed and re-installed, the marking position might be misaligned relative to the guide laser
radiation position. To align the marking position, calibrate the working field with following the procedures described in
Operation Manual.
Working conditions
WARNING
• Before the detaching or attaching the fiber unit, turn off the power supply and
disconnect the AC power cable. There is a risk of exposure to the laser beam
or electrical shock.
• Avoid oil mist, dust and dirt when removing or installing the fiber unit. If the work area is in such environment, install the
fiber unit in a proper environment and then carry the product to the work area.

• Hexagon wrench (ball point, M5, 150 mm)
• M5 screw (Attached accessory)
• Fiber unit protection cap (Attached accessory)
• Scanner unit protection cover (Attached accessory)
• O-ring (M) (Attached accessory)
• Air duster for optics
