6.1 What Is Checker?
Checker is a general term of the area and conditions for inspecting with a captured image. The following
checkers are available.

Binary Window
Counts the number of white, black, extract/not extract
pixels.
Yes
Yes
77
Gray Window
Calculates a gray average within the area.
No
Yes
80
Binary Edge
Detects the black/white reversed pixels in a binary image.
Detects the points that distinguish the extracted and not
extracted parts and outputs the coordinates.
Yes
Yes
82
Gray Edge
Detect the changing points (edges) in the gray scale and
outputs the number of detected changing points, the
coordinates and the changing amount (differential values).
This function is effective if edges have small variation of
image brightness and the contrast is low.
No
Yes

Feature Extraction In a binary image, detects black or white clusters. Detects
extract/not extraction images and the proper number of
clusters for the condition. Outputs the feature amount of
each gravity coordinate or angle of principal axis angle.
Yes
Yes

Smart Matching
Detects an image similar to a registered base image
(template) according to the data (gray value) of the image
brightness. Extracts the difference between the base
image and the detected image (by overlapping the two
images and extracting the parts having the gray
difference). With this function, you can set a Mask area (,
where inspection is not performed) within a template.
No
Yes
100
Contour Matching Detects an image similar to the registered base image
according to contour information of the object. Supports for
360-degree rotation of the object. Up to 2 of Contour
Matching can be set per product type (including rotation or
contour adjustment).
Yes
Yes

Position Adjustment:
With the functions of each checker, calculates the moving (adjustment) amount
from the base position. The group checkers are executed at the position where
the object is shifted from the base position by the moving mount. But, only the
position adjustment checkers, to which lower numbers are assigned, can refer to
the adjustment amount.
