3.16. Performance test

CAUTION

Be careful to avoid burns from hot
water during this test.

3.16.1. Keep Warm temperature check

  1. Fill the container with the rated amount of water,

and maintain temperature.

  2. Measure the temperature 1 hour after keep warm

lamp illuminates.

Normal warming temperature range:

90°C - 100°C (without continuous boiling)
LED indication: 98

3.16.2. Discharge amount check (at 98 setting)
3.16.2.1. With motorized discharge

  1. Fill the container with the rated amount of water.
  2. Measure the water amount about one hour after

the start of keep warm operation.

  3. Press the Pour out pad and let the hot water

pour out for 5 seconds. Measure the amount of
discharged hot water.

Normal water discharge amount:

  250ml or more

3.14. Checks after assembly

After assembly, check for any water leaks, insulation resistance, dielectric strength, and performance, with power
applied.

The insulation resistance:

 Shall be 2M

Ω

or more when measured with a 500VDC megger. (Measuring point: Between

the 2 peg frame pins and the bottom plate)

Dielectric strength:

Shall withstand 1000VAC for one minute. (Measuring point: Same as for the insulation
resistance test)

Check normal operation:

Conduct the pot performance test (see page 3) to check if the operation is normal)

3.15.  Position of production date stamping

Production date is stamped on the bottom plate.

[Example]

Year  Month  Day  Line Number

Production date

3.16.3. Boiling time (Steam emitting time) check

  1. Pour the rated amount of water into the container,

and boil the water.

  2. Measure the exact time from when steam starts to

be produced to when the vacuum keep warm lamp
illuminates.

Normal boiling time:

  80 seconds or less.

3.16.4. Dechlorination boiling check (at 98 setting)

  1. Fill the container with the rated amount of water,

and switch to dechlorination mode by pressing the
Reboil pad. (Reboil lamp illuminates for

fl

 ushing.)

  2. Check that dechlorination boiling mode starts.

3.16.5. Citric acid cleaning time check

  1. Fill the container with the rated amount of water, and

switch to citric acid cleaning mode by pressing the
Select pad for more than 3 seconds.

  2. Check citric acid cleaning mode starts. (Reboil lamp

illuminates and the liquid crystal indication rotates.)
