Troubleshooting is an art of seeking out the cause of a problem and eliminating the problem by managing of eliminating the cause.
No matter what the problem is on your network, the OSI Reference Model serves as an excellent reference tool to help you locate
the area of trouble.
One of the simplest tools available, is the DOS command-line prompt from your Windows PC.
Listed below are the most often used command-line prompts that you can use at the customer’s network PC. Some commands are
available as an option for checking with more detail.
Note: Before taking corrective action, you must check the physical connections or wiring first.
