Notes: 1) In this device, the floating blanking function can be set by using the handy-controller (
SF-HC
) (optional).
When the floating blanking function is used, the size of the min. sensing object is changed. For details of the
float blanking function, refer to the instruction manual enclosed with the handy-controller.
2) Refer to the instruction manual of the handy-controller for the detail of the blanking function and the
emission amount control function.
3) Since the color of the operation indicator changes according to the ON / OFF state of the control output
(OSSD 1, OSSD 2), the operation indicator is marked as [OSSD] on the sensor.
4) The threshold where the control output (OSSD 1, OSSD 2) changes from OFF to ON is applied as ‘100%
incident beam intensity’.
5) Vs is the same value as the voltage of the power supply to be used.
6) Surge absorber is connected between the main body case and the supply terminals, to avoid faulty
operation due to surge.
For this reason, the values for dielectric strength voltage and insulation resistance are given for the condition
when the surge absorber has been removed.

Both emitter and receiver are adjusted before shipment, please apply both emitter and receiver with
the same serial No. The serial No. is indicated on the plates of both emitter and receiver.
In this device, various functions can be set by using the handy-controller (
SF-HC
)
(optional). Some of the functions change the setting contents relating to the safety
distance, such as the size of the min. sensing object or the response time etc.
Therefore, when each function is set, calculate the safety distance again and
maintain the safety distance which is equal to or greater than the safety distance. If
the sufficient distance is not maintained, the machine will not stop before its
dangerous parts are reached, which can result in serious injury or death.
