Turn on the external display, then turn on your computer

When [Add New Hardware Wizard] is displayed, follow the on-screen instructions.
After Windows star ts up, the screen is displayed on the display destination set in
[Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Intel
®
Graphics Technology] - [Devices]. The
screen is not displayed based on the [Display] setting in the Setup Utility.
It is possible to change the setting to display only on the external display or on both
the internal LCD and the external display with Fn + F3 .
This combination does not work in the following cases:
When the [MS-DOS Prompt]* screen is set to “Full Screen”.

When the computer is in the Dual-Display mode.

Set your external display for [Monitor] in [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Dis-
play] - [Settings] - [Advanced].
When a monitor that does not conform to the Plug & Play standards is connected,
select [Change]* and make the monitor settings.

setting of the hotkey to change the display destination can be done in [Start] - [Settings]

CAUTION
Do not switch displays repeatedly using the Fn + F3 combination while
MPEG files are playing.

When the [MS-DOS Prompt] screen is set to “Full Screen” in simultaneous
display, the screen will only be shown on one of the two displays. To use MS-
DOS mode in Full Screen with simultaneous display, reboot the computer and
press Ctrl at start-up to operate the computer in the Command prompt only.
