Connect the AC adaptor if writing operation takes a long time. If the battery level becomes low and the power is not sup-
plied, writing operation may not be completed.

You need to use writing software to write to discs. (“B’s Recorder” and “B’s CLiP”
Ensure the disc is compatible with the selected writing speed.

The quality of written data depends on the disc.

When using an optional drive, read the operating instructions of the drive.
To install DVD-RAM Software
To write to a DVD-RAM disc, you need to install the DVD-RAM Software.

Set the Product Recovery DVD-ROM in the CD/DVD drive.
The [Utility Setup tool] screen appears automatically. (It may take some time to recognize the disc.)

When the [Utility Setup tool] screen does not appear automatically, click [start] - [Run], input
[d:\Setuputil.exe]
and click [OK].

Click [DVD-RAM Software Setup].

Click [Driver and Formatter Setup].

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Carefully read the License Agreement
and click [Yes].

In [Choose Destination Location], do not change the setting and click [Next].

“d:” indicates the CD/DVD drive. Change it to the corresponding drive on your own computer.
