Installation Instructions for SB555 Watcher
1. Win2000/XP Users
Step 1. Install files
Install the SB555 Wireless Watcher software for your chosen carrier by running the downloaded
file (ie: SB555G_WIN2K_XP_Bell_Mobility.exe) or copy files from the "Windows" directory on the
Watcher CD (if provided) to a directory (e.g. C:\Watcher) on the PC.
Using the Port Tool
If initialization fails after running Watcher, run the "SB555 Port Tool.exe" COM port utility and
assign the correct COM ports for Watcher and Data. Run Watcher again.
Notes:
1. If using with MIB II, Primary port connection of the MIB II is for the Data Serial port and the Secondary
is for the Watcher Serial port attachment.
2. "Watcher.exe" must be executed before "SB555 Port Tool.exe" in order for COM port setting to take
effect.
